Alongside the actual building and collection of the Museu de la Pauma there is also a very useful collection of plants associated with basketmaking and associated vegetable fibre crafts, the Racó de les Fibres Vegetals located on the edge of Mas de Barberans features a variety of native willows, rushes, grasses and the mainstay of the local basketmaking tradition the European Fan Palm or Pauma (Chamaerops humilis).

A més del edifici i la col.lecció del  Museu de la Pauma tambè hi ha una col.lecció molt útil de plantes associades a la cistelleria i al teixit amb fibres naturals, el Racó de les Fibres Vegetals.  Hi trobem varietats de vímet autòcton, joncs, herbes i el pilar de la tradició de cistelleria local, el margalló (Chamaerops humilis).
